Description
MATHUR DEVO BHAVA (THAT OF DIVINE MOTHERS)
A mother is the universal symbol of unconditional love and divinity. The bond she creates with her child is described in every language and by every creed and race. To celebrate this bond and love, the PARASHAHA group explores the nuances and delicacy of it all.
The production in the Bharatanatyam idiom, seeks to express the tenuous but strong bonds caused through this irreplaceable relationship.
We explore the relationship of two mothers who have a complex bond with their children- Leelavati with Prahlada and Shakuntala with Bharata.. These are mothers who faced tremendous struggles and lived as heroes and role models. T
